The year 2024 is the Year of the Dragon, a zodiac sign characterized by strength and charisma. The Dragon is the largest and most important sign in the entire zodiac calendar. Davidoff has honored the importance of the dragon with their largest zodiac-inspired cigar to date: a Double Corona with an uncut base. It consists of 8 different tobaccos from the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, Mexico and Ecuador, which together are 60 years old. The cigar surprises aficionados with an uncut foot, which means that a good 2 cm can be enjoyed without the wrapper at the beginning. This requires extreme precision not only when rolling but also when blending. Despite the lack of a wrapper, the initial taste is very pleasant and shows a high level of craftsmanship. The Double Corona begins with notes of earth, wood and herbs. Once the wrapper takes over, the taste changes to rich notes of toasted nuts, cream and subtle licorice. The intensity increases in the second third as notes of sweet honey, white pepper and citrus take over. In the last third of the cigar, fresh spice and oak complement the dominant notes of dark chocolate. With its medium intensity and a enjoyment time of 90 to 100 minutes, the cigar is ideal for filling special times.
